RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK — READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.
This agreement releases Valley Craft Club and its owner, Farrah Jochai, from all liability relating to injuries, damages, illness, or claims that may occur during or in connection with a Valley Craft Club event.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Voluntary Participation. I confirm that I am attending this Valley Craft Club event entirely of my own free will. I understand that participation in all craft activities is optional and that I may stop participating at any time. I will not use any craft tool, supply, or material that I feel uncomfortable or unsafe using. If I am unsure how to use any tool or supply — including but not limited to pliers, cutting tools, heat tools, needles, or inks — I agree to ask a VCC representative or instructor for assistance before proceeding. I will not attempt any technique I do not feel confident performing safely.
Assumption of Risk. I understand that Valley Craft Club events involve hands-on craft activities including but not limited to cutting, gluing, painting, block printing, candle-making, jewelry-making, use of pliers and wire tools, needle tools, heat sources, inks, adhesives, and other craft materials and equipment. I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to minor cuts, burns, punctures, stains, skin irritation, and allergic reactions. I have disclosed any known allergies or sensitivities relevant to craft materials and understand it is my responsibility to do so. I confirm that I have no physical condition that would increase my risk of injury during craft activities. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Release of Liability. I agree to hold Valley Craft Club and its owner entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility, for any injury, illness, loss, or damage I sustain during or in connection with a Valley Craft Club event, regardless of whether such injury is caused by negligence.
Property Damage. I agree to reimburse Valley Craft Club and/or the event venue for any damage I cause to property or materials, intentionally or unintentionally, during the event, at the cost deemed appropriate by Valley Craft Club or venue staff.
Third-Party Venues. I acknowledge that VCC events are held at third-party venues not owned or operated by Valley Craft Club. Valley Craft Club is not responsible for the condition, safety, cleanliness, or maintenance of any venue property. Any claims arising from venue conditions should be directed to the venue directly.
Gifted Items and Sponsored Products. I acknowledge that Valley Craft Club may distribute gift bags, samples, snacks, candy, skincare, beauty products, or other sponsored products at events. I accept all such items voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. Valley Craft Club is not liable for any adverse reaction, illness, allergic response, injury, or dissatisfaction resulting from the use or consumption of any gifted, distributed, or sponsored product. Product safety is the sole responsibility of the manufacturer or brand.
Alcohol. I understand that some VCC events are BYOB or are held at licensed venues where alcohol is available for purchase. Valley Craft Club does not purchase, provide, serve, or distribute alcohol at any event. If I choose to consume alcohol, I do so entirely at my own risk and accept sole responsibility for my consumption and any consequences thereof, including but not limited to impaired judgment, injury, or transportation home.
Communicable Illness. I acknowledge that attending any in-person event carries an inherent risk of exposure to communicable illness. I voluntarily assume that risk and agree that Valley Craft Club is not liable for any illness contracted in connection with event attendance.
Photo and Video Consent. I grant Valley Craft Club an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use my name, image, likeness, and voice captured at this event for marketing and promotional purposes, including on Instagram, TikTok, email communications, and the VCC website, without compensation. If I do not wish to be photographed, I will notify a VCC representative at the start of the event.
Age Confirmation. I confirm that I am 21 years of age or older.
Right of Refusal. I acknowledge that Valley Craft Club reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any attendee at any time, for any reason, without refund.
Waiver of Claims. By signing below, I waive my right to bring any suit, claim, or legal action against Valley Craft Club or its owner arising from my attendance at this event or my use or consumption of any item distributed at this event. I agree to follow all safety instructions communicated verbally or in writing and will ask for clarification when needed.
