Purpose: To annually review and update the Constitution and Bylaws to ensure they comply with the Societies Act, define a high level of professional practice and are uniform and compliant with other major organizations within our membership.
Accountability: Board of Governors
Responsibilities:
- To review the Societies Act and any new requirements and to periodically consult with Societies Act experts.
- To annually review existing bylaws.
- To review the Constitution and Bylaws and to recommend any changes to the Board of Governors that may be required.
Membership: Up to 6 members from the membership with one of its members from the Executive Committee.
Chair: President-Elect
Time involvement: 15 – 20 hours
Frequency of Meetings: As required
Frequency of Reporting: Twice per year
Length of Term: 2 years
Staff Liaison: Executive Director
