1. I agree to provide the foster animals) with loving care including, but not limited to, food, water, in home care, companionship, exercise and administer any medication when required.
2. I understand that the foster animal(s) shall remain the sole property of RTPA until the animal's adoption into a suitable home is completed. Within 2 weeks of the completed adoption I agree to mail or deliver to RTPA the adoption contract and adoption fee along with copies of all medical paperwork for the animal.
3. I agree to surrender the foster animals) at the request of RTPA or if I am no long able to adequately care for them.
4. I understand that animals brought into RTPA must remain in foster care for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to adoption. RTPA believes this is best to evaluate an animal's temperament and health status.
5. I will practice the utmost caution when introducing my foster animal to potential adopters or other animals. RTPA will not be held responsible for any injury occurring from placing an animal in a stressful situation resulting in aggressive behavior.
YOU MUST HAVE FULL CONTROL OF YOUR FOSTER ANIMAL AT ALL TIMES.
6. If needed, I will seek medical care for my foster animal only after approval has been given by an RTPA administrator. I will be instructed where to take the animal for medical attention if needed and RTPA will cover the expense. In the event I seek medical attention or services not pre-approved by RTPA I understand I am personally responsible for any expenses incurred.
7. I will commit to keeping medical appointments scheduled for my foster. I understand that the RTPA will be charged for appointments not kept and I will contact the appropriate coordinator in advance to reschedule if I am unable to keep an appointment.
8. While at an animal clinic I will be sure to only have services performed as originally discussed. Any additional services must be preapproved by an administrator before proceeding.
9. I understand that a home visit and veterinary reference check (done either by myself or another foster) must be completed prior to adoption approval.
10. Under no circumstances will my foster animal be left in the care of anyone other than an approved RTPA foster or volunteer without prior approval of an adiminstrator.
11. I understand and acknowledge that I have no right or authority to keep foster animals for myself or place foster animals in any other foster home without prior approval from RTPA. Should I decide to adopt the foster animal myself, I understand that any adoption fee still applies and that RTPA must be notified of this decision in a timely manner. I will then provide RTPA with the required adoption fee, contract and copies of medical records within 2 weeks of the adoption.
12. I understand the risk to myself, my family, my pets and my property due to bringing a foster animal into my home (i.e. property damage, contagious diseases and possible injury). I also understand this is a volunteer position for which I will not be financially reimbursed for my service.
13. I AGREE NOT TO HOLD RESCUED TREASURES PET ADOPTIONS LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS FOSTER CARE CONTRACT AND FOSTERING FOR RTPA.
14. Approval must be received by a rescue administrator prior to accepting any animal into RTPA. I am financially responsible for any animal I rescue without approval.
15. I wil not foster animals for any other rescue while I have a RTPA animal in my home without prior approval from an RTPA Administrator. I understand this is a liability issue with regard to health issues and animal temperament.
16. I will not make any changes to the adoption contract or any other RTPA paperwork and agree to complete adoption paperwork in full with adopters.
