    To maintain its high prestige, this award is only presented when an exceptionally worthy recipient is identified and is not necessarily awarded every year. If a recipient is chosen for the current cycle, they will be recognized live in front of industry peers at a Provincial or Regional RVDA event.

     

    Priority Review Window: Why Submit Early?

    While nominations are accepted year-round, the Selection Committee requires ample time to thoroughly vet applications, verify details, and review supporting letters.

    •  Our Current Cycle: Submissions received during our Priority Review Window (now through early Autumn) ensure the committee has sufficient time to fully evaluate your candidate for potential presentation at upcoming regional fall/winter meetings.
    • Late Submissions: Nominations received after the committee concludes its current evaluation cycle will automatically be held and carried forward for consideration in the next review period.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    The Emerging Leader Award Selection Committee chooses the recipient based only on the information submitted via the online form. The committee evaluates nominees across five core areas:

     

    Criteria What We Look For
    Customer Service Examples of how the nominee delivers consistent customer satisfaction, loyalty, and operational excellence (e.g., employee development, revenue growth, customer experience).
    Impact  Examples of how the nominee created a significant impact in achieving a strategic goal on a business, community, industry, or national scale.
     Innovation Descriptions of the nominee’s most innovative contributions, including creative uses of new knowledge, ideas, resources, or technology to solve problems. 
     Initiative Work or volunteer activities that highlight the nominee's personal growth, dedication, and leadership potential. 
    Social Responsibility An outline of how the nominee’s contributions have led to the betterment of society.

    When a candidate is selected, the recipient of the George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award will receive:
