OFFICIAL RULES & PHOTO RELEASE
EVENT INFORMATION
Hidden Gems: Downtown Photo Hunt is hosted by Blue Ridge Events and is designed to encourage participants to explore Downtown areas, discover local businesses, and engage with the community through a fun and interactive photo hunt experience.
ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to individuals of all ages. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete registration and consent on their behalf.
No purchase is necessary to participate or win.
EVENT PARTICIPATION
Participants must register through the official event registration form prior to participating.
Participants are encouraged to visit participating businesses, complete designated challenges, and submit required information by the published deadline.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward business owners, employees, customers, event volunteers, and fellow participants throughout the event.
Blue Ridge Events reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose conduct is deemed disruptive, inappropriate, unsafe, dishonest, or inconsistent with the spirit of the event.
PHOTO CHALLENGES
Participants may be asked to take photographs as part of event activities.
Participants are encouraged to obtain permission before photographing business employees, customers, or private areas not generally open to the public.
Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that photographs are taken safely and lawfully.
Blue Ridge Events assumes no responsibility for photographs taken by participants.
PRIZE ELIGIBILITY
Only completed entries submitted by the published deadline will be eligible for prize drawings.
Prize winners may be required to verify participation prior to receiving prizes.
Blue Ridge Events reserves the right to verify submissions and disqualify entries that appear fraudulent, incomplete, or intentionally misleading.
If a selected winner is found to have violated event rules, an alternate winner may be selected.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for alternative prizes unless determined by Blue Ridge Events.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Participation is voluntary and at the participant's own risk.
By participating, participants release and hold harmless Blue Ridge Events, sponsors, participating businesses, volunteers, and event partners from any claims, injuries, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the event.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, safety, and conduct while participating.
PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE
By participating in Hidden Gems: Downtown Kingsport Photo Hunt, participants grant Blue Ridge Events, its sponsors, promotional partners, and event affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use submitted photographs, videos, names, likenesses, and event-related content for promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, website, print, and future event purposes.
Participants retain ownership of their original photographs and content.
No compensation shall be provided for the use of submitted materials.
Participants understand that photographs and videos submitted as part of the event may be publicly displayed online, in print, or in future promotional materials.
PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT
By registering a minor child, the parent or legal guardian certifies that they have the legal authority to consent to participation and agree to these rules and release terms on behalf of the minor participant.
MODIFICATIONS
Blue Ridge Events reserves the right to modify event details, rules, participating businesses, prizes, schedules, or event operations as necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
