CITY OF GREAT FALLS, MONTANA PETITION TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 3278 RELATING TO FIREWORKS RESTRICTIONS TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF GREAT FALLS: We, the undersigned qualified electors of the City of Great Falls, Montana, petition for an election pursuant to Montana Code Annotated Title 7, Chapter 5, requesting that the voters of the City of Great Falls determine whether Ordinance No. 3278, adopted by the City of Great Falls and relating to restrictions on the sale, possession, discharge, or use of certain consumer fireworks within the city limits, shall be repealed. PROPOSED BALLOT QUESTION SHALL THE CITY OF GREAT FALLS REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 3278, WHICH RESTRICTS THE SALE, POSSESSION, DISCHARGE, OR USE OF CERTAIN CONSUMER FIREWORKS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS? □ FOR REPEAL □ AGAINST REPEAL PURPOSE AND EFFECT A vote FOR REPEAL would remove the restrictions imposed by Ordinance No. 3278 and restore the fireworks regulations that were in effect immediately before the ordinance became effective. A vote AGAINST REPEAL would leave Ordinance No. 3278 in effect. TRANSITION PROVISION If approved by a majority of voters, Ordinance No. 3278 shall be repealed effective upon certification of the election results, and any prior city code provisions governing consumer fireworks that were in effect immediately before adoption of Ordinance No. 3278 shall again govern unless otherwise amended by law.
