I stand in solidarity with the hardworking Union members of Sconza Chocolate who are currently negotiating a successor contract. The workers' dedication has helped Sconza succeed. They deserve Dignity and Respect in the workplace
We are appalled that such a successful business has proposed increasing medical costs by 10%, which would impose an unfair financial burden on employees and their families. Additionally, the proposal to modify the workweek language seeks to avoid paying overtime for weekend work, thereby waiving and undermining workers’ rights to fair compensation.
Such proposals threaten the well-being and Dignity of the Sconza Chocolate Union members. We urge the company to reconsider these measures and negotiate in good faith to secure a contract that respects the contributions and rights of its workforce.
