SECTION 1 – INTRODUCTION

The Rotary Club of Franklin at Breakfast provides Community Support Grants to nonprofit, volunteer and educational organizations to support their efforts to serve our Community.

Typical grant awards are between $500 and $2,000. Larger awards may be considered for exceptional projects that provide significant community benefit and service partnership oppotuniities.

Community Support Grants are intended for special projects or unique needs and are generally not intended to support ongoing operational expenses.

SECTION 2 – ELIGIBILITY EXCLUSIONS

This grant process is for grantees that are a 501(c)(3) or non-profit organizations that do good work in support of our Rotary objectives. Our grant program explicitly excludes individuals, political organizations, religious organizations (for religious purposes).

SECTION 3 – AWARD CONSIDERATIONS

The Rotary Club of Franklin at Breakfast provides grant awards for community support primarily in our local community. The target population for this grant program is the Franklin, Tennessee area, Williamson County, and Middle Tennessee.

Priority consideration will be given to projects serving one or more of the following categories:
• Youth Services
• Food and Community Health
• Education Endeavors
• Military or Veteran Support
• Underserved Citizens

The Club receives many grant requests each year. Priority will be given to projects that benefit a large number of people within our target audience and community.

SECTION 4 – APPLICATION PROCESS

Our club strongly prefers an online application using this form for the grant request. If that's not possible, please print out the request, fill in the appropriate information, scan the request and email it to franklinbreakfastrotary@gmail.com, or have your Rotary Sponsor submit a hard copy to the Community Support Committee Chairperson. In most cases, this grant request form is all that is required for submittal.

SECTION 5 – GRANT DECISION TIMELINE

The Rotary Club of Franklin at Breakfast grant committee will issue notifications of decisions on Grant applications on a minimum of a quartrly basis (1 Oct, 1 Jan, 1 Apr, and finally 31 May).

SECTION 6 – RULES AND CONDITIONS

Club community support grants are awarded solely at the discretion of the Rotary Club of Franklin at Breakfast.

Information contained in this application may be considered public information. Rotary may use portions of the application to promote the Community Support Grant Program or provide information about funded projects.

Organizations receiving grants may be asked to help publicize the program and its impact within the community.

Grant awards are generally presented at Rotary Club meetings. Recipients will be requested to attend the presentation of any grant.

Grants must be used only for the purpose for which the award was granted.

Rotary Club members with a material interest in an applicant organization must disclose and recuse from the Club vote/decision making process.

Failure to comply with these rules and conditions may result in the Rotary Club seeking recovery of awarded funds.
