Foster-To-Adopt Application

Looking to adopt but want to make sure it's the right fit for your family and/or existing pets? Foster-to-adopt is a great way to help an animal in need while making sure it's a right fit before commiting to adoption.

Please read before applying:

At this time we only accept FTA applications for our recently rescued cats and kittens in need of deworming, socializing, decompression, etc. Kittens that are listed on petfinder having already completing all of their initial vetting, are not available for FTA. Adults on our petfinder may be available for FTA on a case by case basis.

We ask that FTA's make a decision on adoption within one month of bringing home the animal. Some extensions to this may be permitted on a case-by-case basis.

All kittens under 6 months old must be adopted with another kitten unless you have a young playful cat at home.

Applicants must be 18+. The person applying must be the primary caretaker off the cats/kittens, we do not accept applications for kittens as gifts.

Please note we are a Brooklyn, NY based rescue. Applicants must live in, or near NYC.

At this time, we are only able to accept foster-to-adopt applicants who are able to provide their own transportation to/from East Flatbush Brooklyn.

All cats and kittens will require an initial period of quarantine, either in a bedroom, bathroom, or office, depending on the individual cats/kittens needs. This is both for socializing purposes, allowing the cat to decompress and settle in, and so as not to spread parasites or viruses with resident cats. In most situations, a bathroom is perfect. Do you have a room in mind that could work for this? If so, please elaborate.
