Dear Camp Parents,

As we prepare to welcome our campers for another wonderful summer at Gan Israel beginning this Tuesday, a number of parents have expressed interest in having armed security at camp throughout the summer.

The safety and well-being of our children is always our highest priority. While we do not feel that there is any specific danger or threat to our camp, we understand that many families appreciate the added peace of mind that an enhanced security presence can provide.

Because this additional level of security was not included in our camp budget, we are reaching out to gauge whether there is sufficient parent support to make it possible.

We are suggesting a tax-deductible contribution of $180 per family toward a dedicated security fund to cover the cost of one armed security gaurd; however, this amount is simply a suggestion & participation is entirely voluntary.

On the form below, families have the opportunity to indicate the amount they would be willing to contribute should this initiative move forward. At this stage, we are simply seeking commitments so that we can determine whether enough funds can be raised to cover the cost of providing armed security for the duration of camp.

No family is expected or obligated to participate!

Any amount, whether more or less than the suggested contribution, is appreciated. If sufficient support is received, we will move forward with arranging the security and will follow up regarding the collection of pledged contributions.
All contributions toward this initiative will be tax-deductible.

We want to emphasize that a family’s participation in camp is in no way connected to making a contribution. Our goal is simply to offer an opportunity for those who would like to support this initiative.
