  • Leaders For Life Playbook - From Sidelines to Leadership: Turning Parents inot Powerful Partners

    Description: This four-hour seminar is divided into two practical, hands-on learning sessions designed to help your academy create stronger engagement, higher retention, and meaningful community impact.

    Part 1 (8am-10am)focuses on how to create raving fans among the families already in your academy. You will learn practical ways to teach leadership and life skills even through your youngest instructors, so parents clearly see the value of what their children are learning and begin applying these skills in their homes.

    Part 2 (10am-12pm) focuses on expanding that impact into your community. Learn how to demonstrate the value of martial arts leadership training through powerful school talks that educators appreciate and invite back again and again.

    Participants will leave with a clear strategy to increase parent engagement, the 7-step process for teaching Leadership & Life Skills for maximum impact, and a ready-to-use “School Talk” presentation that helps build lasting relationships with educators and community leaders.Please come prepared to participate in the hands-on portions of the seminar.

    Description: Judges, are you prepared to push your expertise to the MAX? We understand that Creative, Xtreme, Team Demo, and Team Sync divisions can feel overwhelming with the rapid evolution of tricks, synchronization, creativity, and performance skills competitors are bringing to the floor. We’re thrilled to provide a comprehensive understanding of what to look for in each division and how to confidently evaluate both individual and team performances.

    Through live demonstrations by the ATA MAX Pro Team, we’ll break down the crucial distinctions in tricks, transitions, synchronization, musicality, teamwork, creativity, and overall presentation. From understanding how to properly assess difficulty and execution in Creative and Xtreme competition to evaluating timing, precision, staging, and cohesion in Team Demo and Team Sync Forms/Weapons, this seminar is designed to sharpen your eye and strengthen your confidence as a judge.

    Description: Join us to learn the concepts and training tips surrounding the development of speed, agility, and explosiveness. Seminar objectives will include understanding the correct application of exercise and drills, timing of drills to avoid fatigue, and appropriate progression of volume of plyometrics.

I authorize the event staff and volunteers to take all necessary steps regarding required medical attention (e.g., first aid, calling ambulance service, etc.). I agree that I shall be solely responsible for the costs associated with such medical attention and to indemnify and hold harmless the following “Released Parties” from costs incurred therein: American Taekwondo Association, Inc. (dba ATA International) and the event host; each of their owners, officers, directors, employees, and volunteers; each of their respective agents or assigns; and any other individual or entity associated with this event.

      PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE

      In consideration for being permitted to participate in this program, I agree that any photographs or videos taken of or by me/my child in connection with this event can be used by the Released Parties for publicity or promotion or any other purpose without compensation at this or any other time.

      WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

      I am fully aware of the inherent dangers in participating in activities involving Taekwondo and other martial arts, including the risks of personal injury, disability, death or loss or damage to property. I understand and agree that the Released Parties will not be responsible for my/my child's safety.

      In further consideration for being permitted to participate in this event, I assume any and all risks involved. I hereby waive, release, discharge and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims and/or causes of action whatsoever that I/my child may have, whether foreseen or unforeseen, whether caused by the negligence of a Released Party or otherwise, arising out of my/my child's participation in this event; including any harm, injury, or damage that may befall me/my child while practicing or performing martial arts at any time or place, or while traveling to or from this event, and any damage, loss or theft of any personal property.

      This agreement and the rights of the parties hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas including all matters of construction, validity, performance, and enforcement and without giving effect to the principles of conflict of laws. Any action brought by any party hereto shall be brought in Little Rock, Arkansas.

      I have read this document and understand that it is a release of all liability and a waiver of the right to bring any claim for injury or loss arising out of this program or its related activities. I understand that this agreement shall remain binding during and after this event.

      COVID-19 WAIVER

      I understand that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

      By registering for this event, I voluntarily assume these risks. I agree to exercise care to protect myself/my child and to assess our risks by considering our ages, underlying health conditions, recent travel, possible exposure to COVID-19, doctors' recommendations, and local, state and federal guidance. I agree and understand that it is my responsibility to evaluate the risks and protect myself/my child.

      I agree that I/my child will comply with all relevant federal, state and local laws and health orders. I also agree that I/my child will comply with the safety protocol established for this event.

      I agree that I/my child will not attend (and will not be permitted to enter) this event if I/my child or anyone in my/my child’s household (a) has been exposed to anyone with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the 14 days preceding the event or (b) has had any known COVID-19 within the 24 hours preceding the event or exhibits any such symptoms on the day of the event.
