Hello Friends and Family!
You are invited to participate in the Stars and Stripes on Houston Street Parade in downtown San Antonio on July 4th. Sandy Liwang, PMO with disABILITYsa, has registered a float for this exciting community celebration, and we would love for you to join us.
Event Details
Date: July 4, 2026
Parade Start Time: 10:00 AM
Participant Arrival Time: No later than 8:45 AM
Parade Route:
- Begins at Legacy Park (103 W. Houston St.)
- Travels east along Houston Street
- Ends at Travis Park (301 E. Travis St.)
- Approximately 1 mile in length
This event is free and open to the public.
Participation Information
If you would like to participate on the disABILITYsa float, please complete the registration information below.
- Space is limited. The space allows for 8 riders on the the float, which will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- There is room for one power wheelchair on the float, which will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participants are welcome to ride or walk alongside the float.
- Preference for riding accommodations will be given to individuals with mobility limitations.
What to Bring
Please bring only items that you can comfortably carry on your person, as storage space on the float will be extremely limited.
Important Reminders
- City ordinance prohibits throwing or tossing any items from the float during the parade.
- Participants may be required to sign event waivers or assumption-of-risk documents upon arrival.
- Participation is subject to all event rules and safety requirements established by parade organizers.
