By Submitting foster applciation you acknowledge the following:

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK: I understand and acknowledge that volunteering with Paws and a Purpose involves inherent risks,including but not limited to animal bites or scratches, allergic reactions, slips or falls, exposure toanimal-related illnesses, and emotional distress. I acknowledge that senior dogs may exhibit unpredictable behavior due to age, fear, pain, or medical conditions.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks, including but not limited to those stated in acknolwledgement of risk above, associated with my participation in volunteer activities with Paws and a Purpose Rescue whether occurring on or off rescue property.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY: On behalf of myself, my personal representatives, executors, administrators, and heirs, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Paws and a Purpose its founders, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities of any kind, including those arising from negligence, related to my participationin volunteer activities.

INDEMNIFICATION: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Paws and a Purpose from and against any claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in volunteer activities.

MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION: I authorize Paws and a Purpose to obtain emergency medical care for me if necessary. I understand that all medical expenses incurred are my sole responsibility.

BEHAVIOR & REMOVAL: Paws and a Purpose reserves the right to immediately remove any volunteer for unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior, without warning and without obligation to award volunteer hours.

NO GUARANTEE OF HOURS: Volunteer hours are not guaranteed and may be withheld at the sole discretion of Paws and a Purpose.

FOSTER AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I understand that foster dogs remain the property of Paws and a Purpose. I agree to provide a safe, loving temporary home and notify the rescue of any medical or behavioral concerns. I understand that Paws and a Purpose directs and approves all veterinary care. I agree to provide updates and photos to support my foster dog’s adoption. I understand that fostering may involve saying goodbye when my foster dog is adopted and that Paws and a Purpose makes all placement decisions. I will ask for help whenever I have questions or am unable to follow a procedure.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT & SIGNATURE. I have read all paragraphs of this document and fully understand its terms and conditions in this volunteer waiver/release agreement.
