  • About This Survey

UCSB's Ocean & Coastal Policy Center is gathering input from students, faculty, staff, and Isla Vista residents on how people use and value Area 3 (Campus Lagoon) and Area 4 (Lagoon Road Corridor). Your feedback will help inform shoreline adaptation planning, community engagement efforts, and future decision-making related to these coastal areas.

To provide context for this survey, please review the Shoreline Adaptation Project StoryMap linked below before continuing.

The Shoreline Adaptation Project is a partnership between the Ocean & Coastal Policy Center (OCPC) at UCSB, the Cheadle Fund for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, Campus Planning and Design, and the California Coastal Conservancy. Additional funding provided by the UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund. Through continued monitoring, analysis, and collaboration, we seek to maintain a resilient and sustainable shoreline that supports the University's mission and the broader coastal ecosystem.
