Thank you for your interest in joining Charlas y Chismes con Nuestros Legisladores, a community conversation initiative hosted by the ILLCF Alumni Association. This platform creates direct access to Latino legislators from the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation for meaningful dialogue about the policies shaping our communities.

This conversation will feature Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernández (2nd District) and an ILLCF Board Member. During this discussion, we will explore her journey in public service in the Illinois General Assembly, including her work on education funding, labor policy, and state budget decisions that impact communities across Illinois.

Participants will also learn about key priorities in Springfield, how state decisions are made, and how they can stay informed, engaged, and involved in advocating for policies related to education, workforce opportunities, and economic mobility in their communities.

This conversation is designed to provide direct access to state leadership, encourage community dialogue, and strengthen civic engagement across our Latino communities.
