Two Founding Gatherings • Introduction to Sewing

What if the things our grandmothers knew weren’t meant to be lost?

The Wild Goose Heirloom Collective was born from a desire to gather women around the table once again—to learn, create, share wisdom, and preserve the skills that have been passed down through generations.

Through sewing, mending, canning, baking, gardening, homemaking, and other time-honored crafts, we hope to create a community where women can learn from one another and rediscover the beauty of making things with their own hands.

Our first gathering is a FREE Introduction to Sewing workshop where we will learn the basics of sewing and create a simple apron to take home.

No experience is necessary. Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or are simply looking to refresh your skills, we’d love for you to join us.
Why the Wild Goose?🪿
In Celtic Christian tradition, the Wild Goose was often used as a symbol of the Holy Spirit—untamed, adventurous, and impossible to confine.
Just as the Holy Spirit leads us into new places of growth and discovery, we hope this collective becomes a place where women are inspired to learn, create, gather, and carry meaningful traditions into the next generation.

What You’ll Learn
• Sewing machine basics 

• Threading and bobbins

 • Measuring and cutting fabric

 • Straight stitching

 • Simple seam construction

 • How to complete a beginner-friendly apron

What to Bring
• Sewing machine (if you have one)

 • Basic sewing supplies 

• Fabric for your apron (details will be emailed after registration)
