• FOOD VENDOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

  • Thanks for taking the time to apply for a stall at WOMAD Aotearoa .  The Global Village is at the heart of the festival and is made up of stall holders selling a vast variety of international food and beverages. We aim to provide festival goers with a wide range of food choices, which are of impeccable quality, and add to the fun and vibrant atmosphere that is WOMAD Aotearoa.

All applications are reviewed and considered, however, only a limited number of stalls are available.  Food stalls are placed in the Gables Lawn, the Bowl area, or the main Global Village food court.  Due to the huge number of traders that apply we will not be able to get back to everyone and apologise if you do not hear from us.

    • Please take your time with the application and ensure you attach all necessary documents

  • STAFF PASSES

  • If you are accepted for a stall at WOMAD NZ in 2023, how many Staff Passes would you require?

  • Please note: If you are bringing a food serving vehicle such as a caravan or truck please detail the actual measurements below:
Please provide the depth x height x length of your caravan/truck including the tow bar. This helps with the set up during pack in. Any vehicles that are not accurately measured as claimed in the original application will have to be charged accordingly and in extreme cases may be removed from site to avoid any logistical impact on other vendors.

  • ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, WATER & GAS

    ELECTRICAL

List below all the electrical equipment (including coffee machines) you will bring to the festival.
Please also list the wattage and current of each. Under stating your requirements may mean loss of power to your site and the festival organisers may not be able to supply power for any additional equipment you bring. You are allocated 32 amps ONLY per site as part of your stall fee.

All equipment must hold a current test tag and comply with AS/NZ 3760-2001 and be tagged accordingly. Any trader who has not tagged their items will be refused the right to trade and face a fine of $100 per untagged item. The right to begin trading will only resume once the items have been taken offsite to be tagged. ELECTRICAL TAGGING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE FESTIVAL SITE.

  • Do you require power to be supplied to your site?*
  • Additional power above 32 amps or 3 phase power can be supplied at an additional cost of $150. Please tick the box if you require:
  • Note: The electricians on site at WOMAD are there to sort power supplies and check electrical safety not to make your appliances fit what is provided, if you have any doubts please ask before arrival on site.

  • WATER

  • Do you require water for a coffee machine?*
  • GAS

Please note: All traders using gas must make sure they are in compliance with NZ Gas regulations. ANY trader who is in breach of the regulations will be held liable under the act.

    • Any traders using gas bottles larger than 9kg must keep them restrained and off the ground i.e fixed to something sturdy and off the grass on top of a concrete garden paver etc – they must be secure and out of the way
    • Gas bottles are not classed as empty unless professionally de-gassed ; therefore all empty gas bottles not being used by traders must be removed from site as they are classed as full and will count towards the allowed limit of 90kg per trader
