    Dates:

    - Friday Sept. 25th: weigh-ins start at 9:00 AM and end at 6:00 PM. Athletes must show proof of SCC active membership + grab their nationals / SWIC t-shirts.

    *IVs*: Sadly, we cannot offer IVs as Quebec law does not allow it unless prescribed by a doctor. Please make sure to consider this if you are planning on losing a lot of water weight.

    - Saturday Sept. 26th:

    - 8:30 AM: Athlete arrival on competition site
    - 9:00 AM: Athlete meeting + Group picture
    - 9:45 AM: SWIC begins (events 1, 2, 3)
    - 11:00 AM: Amateur Nationals Day 1 begins (events 1, 2, 3)
    - 5:00 PM: End of Day 1

    - Sunday Sept. 27th:

    - 8:30 AM: Athlete arrival on competition site.
    - 9:30 AM: SWIC begins (events 4, 5)
    - 10:30 AM : Amateur Nationals Day 2 begins (events 4, 5)
    - 2:30 PM: End of Day 2 events + Awards ceremony
    - 3:30 PM: End of Day 2

    *NOTE*: To make sure the schedule is well understood: on both Saturday and Sunday, all SWIC athletes will complete their events first, before Amateur National's athletes start competing.

    *INCLUDES*: 2 event t-shirts, chairs, professional competition photos (by 2 photographers), physio therapists / chiro + nurses on site, 2 live streams of the comp with commentators (English + French).
    If you podium: you get a 15 inch custom made trophie. Gift certificates from Team Industry Canada (3rd: 25$, 2nd: 25$ and 1st: 50$). Smelling salts by Zone smelling salts for each podium. Inner strength also has gift cards for each podium. First place also gets an Airwaav mouthguard and a 100$ gift certificate from Bearfoot. If you win a pro card, it will be laminated for you.

    *First athlete to register AND pay registration fee goes LAST on the first event of the competition. Last athlete to register AND pay will go FIRST. In order to be fair with that rule, athletes are allowed to register BEFORE they have qualified through their respective provincials. If by any chance an athlete has paid their nationals registration fee but ends up not qualifying, we will send them their money back by e-transfer at the email address they provided in this form.*

    Other than for the reason listed in the above paragraph, athlete registration fee is NOT refundable.

    *Spectator ticket fee* (same price for 1 day or the whole weekend): 22.30$ (taxes + service fees included in the price). We will provide chairs and bleachers.

    - Athletes must be able to stand on the scale on their own
    - If an athlete does not make weight, they will be allowed to compete in the next heavier weight class.

  • RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

    WARNING: THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. BY SIGNING BELOW YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE INHERENT RISKS OF THE SPORT, WAIVE YOUR RIGHTS TO CLAIMS FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND AGREE TO JURISDICTION IN GATINEAU, QUEBEC.

    In consideration of being permitted to register for and participate in the event known as “SCC Amateur Nationals 2026 + SWIC” (the “Event”), which includes but is not limited to strongman competitions involving deadlifts, Circus dumbbell clean and presses, Atlas stones loading, sandbag carry and load, farmer’s walks, and all related training, warm-ups, equipment handling, spectator viewing, and any other activities organized or hosted by “3 Tonnes Gym”, legally known as 9441-0834 Québec Inc. (the “Organizer”) at Centre de Foires of Expocité, located at 2005, Exposition street, Quebec city, Quebec, G1L 0B7, I, the undersigned Participant (or the parent/guardian of the Participant if under 18), agree as follows:

    1. Acceptance and Assumption of Inherent Risks (Acceptation des risques)

    I fully understand and acknowledge that participation in the Event involves inherent, significant, and severe risks of serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death. In accordance with Article 1477 of the Civil Code of Quebec, I explicitly acknowledge that my voluntary participation constitutes an acceptance of these sport-specific risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:

    Muscle strains, tears, or ruptures; joint dislocations, fractures, or spinal injuries;

    Falls from equipment or while carrying heavy objects;

    Equipment failure, structural collapse, or weight displacement;

    Collisions with other participants, equipment, barriers, or structures;

    Overexertion, dehydration, stroke, heat-related illness, or sudden cardiovascular events;

    Any standard or foreseeable injuries resulting from the normal execution of the high-intensity activities listed herein.

    I confirm that I am physically fit, have no medical conditions that could be aggravated by the Event, and am participating entirely at my own risk.

    2. Release of Liability for Property DamageI, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and forever discharge the Organizer (9441-0834 Québec Inc., operating as 3 Tonnes Gym, including its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates), the owners and occupiers of the premises (Expocité), event sponsors, advertisers, and all other participants (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, damage, or theft of personal property, gear, or equipment arising from or in any way related to my participation in the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Province of Quebec.

    3. Indemnity

    I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs (including legal fees on a substantial indemnity basis), actions, or proceedings brought by myself, my estate, any family member, or any third party as a result of my participation in the Event, or resulting from any property damage caused by me during the competition.

    4. Medical Consent and Representation

    I authorize the Organizer and its agents to obtain emergency medical treatment for me if I am unable to consent at the time. I agree to pay for any such treatment. I confirm I have adequate health, disability, and accident insurance and will not look to the Releasees for any medical or other expenses.

    5. Governing Law and Choice of Jurisdiction

    This Agreement shall be governed exclusively by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties explicitly agree that any legal action, dispute, or lawsuit arising out of or related to this Agreement or the Event shall be filed and resolved exclusively in the courts of the District of Gatineau, Quebec.

    6. Severability and Entire Agreement

    If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction (including clauses restricted by Article 1474 of the Civil Code of Quebec regarding bodily harm), the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties.

    I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I AM ACCEPING THE INHERENT RISKS OF THE SPORT, AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
