10-Minute Self-Assessment for Pastors, Discipleship and Small Group Leaders
This tool assesses your entire small group infrastructure. It will help you pinpoint exactly where your system is experiencing "crop failure"—whether it’s a failure in leader development, a reliance on programmatic crutches, or a lack of relational safety across your community.

Instructions: Evaluate your overall small group ministry over the last 6 months. Score each diagnostic statement on a scale of 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree).
Section 1: Cultivation Culture (Leader Pipeline & Identity)

This section assesses whether you are successfully reproducing "Gardeners" who care for soil, or if your system is stuck relying on "Teachers" who simply manage classrooms.

The vast majority of our small groups consistently score at a Level 4 (Affective/Disclosing) or Level 5 (Soul/Vulnerable) on the soil depth scale, where members routinely confess deep sin patterns, hidden grief, or acute crisis.
