Our Awards of Excellence program celebrates individuals, brokerages and organizations driving progress across Ontario’s broker channel. Honouring innovation, service excellence and community impact, the awards spotlight those who go above and beyond to advance the brokerage profession, support clients and meaningfully contribute to their communities.

If you, an individual, brokerage and/or organization has made a positive impact on Ontario's broker channel and deserves some recognition, we encourage you to submit a nomination.

Winners will be announced live at the IBAO's Awards of Excellence Gala:

DEI Leadership Award
Honours an individual or brokerage driving measurable progress on diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrating that a more inclusive profession produces better outcomes for brokers, clients, and communities alike.

Eligibility

To qualify for this category, nominees must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a broker or brokerage operating within Ontario’s broker channel
- Be an IBAO Member in good standing
- If nominating a broker, they must be a current or retired Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) in good standing, and work (or have worked) for an IBAO Member brokerage.
- Nominee or nominee’s Principal Broker/Senior Management is not a member of the IBAO Board or Awards Judging Panel
- Not a winner in this category within the past three years
- All achievements, initiatives, or results submitted must have occurred on or after July 1 of the prior calendar year
- Cannot be nominated by a current judge
