    Eligibility & Directions

    You can apply for this scholarship if you meet the following criteria. Please note: You do NOT have to meet all criteria to apply.

    • The cost of travel, lodging, or a ticket would otherwise prevent you from attending the Summit.
    • You have lived experience with disability, housing insecurity, or both.
    • You are actively working or volunteering to create disability-forward housing.

    What does "Disability-Forward" mean?
    Disability-forward housing is affordable, accessible, inclusive, and integrated, where disabled and non-disabled residents live and thrive. 

    This application includes questions about the type of scholarship you are applying for, your contact details and three short questions regarding your financial need, personal experience, and work/volunteering experience. 

    You can submit your answers in the way that works best for you:

    • Written Response: Fill out the form below. Please aim for 2 to 4 sentences for Question 3.
    • Video or Audio Recording: You can record yourself speaking your answers to these questions and email the file to katie@thekelsey.org or text Katie at (415) 408-6046.
    • Live Interview: You can schedule a short phone call or Zoom interview with Katie to share your answers verbally or using a relay service. Schedule by emailing katie@thekelsey.org or by calling/texting Katie at (415) 408-6046.
