• Panther Pool Leadership Program Application

    Hello Panthers! Are you interested in being a leader? Apply to the Panther Pool Leadership Program! As part of the program, you'll be shadowed by our Vice President and President. You'll have the chance to work on your public speaking skills, talent acquisition, marketing, budget management, team coordination, and communication! Freshman and Sophomore preferred. Complete the form and confirm your availability for bi-weekly Thursday tournaments (6–8 PM) at the GSU Recreational Center and Saturday tournaments/competitions at Mr. Cues 2 Billiards. Applicants will gain hands-on experience in leadership, marketing, budget management, team coordination, event management, recruitment, and competitive play within the SECBL (Southeastern Collegiate Billiards League across GSU, UF, KSU, GT, UGA, Emory).
  • What You'll Learn

  • - Leadership & Management: executive board meeting facilitation, team coordination and delegation, conflict de-escalation, professional networking - Marketing & Communications: running marketing campaigns, creating flyers/promo materials, email correspondence, social media strategy - Financial & Administrative: budget management fundamentals, Excel/Google Sheets tracking, sponsorship management, completing administrative forms (Risk Assessments, Budget Requests, Travel Requests, Board Forms) - Event & Competition Management: hosting bi-weekly Thursday tournaments (6PM-8PM) at GSU Rec Center, coordinating Saturday tournaments/competitions at Mr. Cues 2 Billiards, SECBL competition logistics, event planning and participant engagement - Recruitment & Development: talent acquisition strategies, public speaking, fundraising campaigns
  • Key Responsibilities

  • - Run executive board meetings (prepare minutes and agendas) - Execute marketing campaigns and design flyers/marketing materials - Coordinate fundraising campaigns and manage sponsor relationships - Professional email correspondence - Organize team coordination activities - Practice public speaking at events - Complete administrative forms (Risk Assessments, Budget Requests, Travel Requests, Board Forms) - Apply conflict de-escalation techniques - Support talent acquisition efforts - Help host bi-weekly Thursday tournaments (6PM-8PM, GSU Recreational Center) - Help organize and run Saturday tournaments/competitions at Mr. Cues 2 Billiards - Support SECBL competition logistics and travel coordination
