  • Section 3: Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards entry

  • As a participant of the Bootcamp, you must be eligible for one of the three Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award categories.

    AI-driven entrepreneurship
    Entrepreneurs leading a business that leverages Artificial Intelligence as a core component of their products, services, or operations to drive innovation, efficiency, and impact. This includes applying AI to solve real-world challenges or improve access to opportunities.

    Examples include businesses using AI to improve crop yields for smallholder farmers, or AI-powered platforms that enhance access to education or healthcare services.

     

    Social and Green Entrepreneurship

    Entrepreneurs leading a business with the primary goal of addressing and solving societal and environmental challenges, such as poverty, education, healthcare, waste management or sustainable agriculture.
    Examples include businesses providing affordable clean energy solutions to underserved communities or ventures delivering inclusive education services.

     

    Smart Growth & Innovation

    Entrepreneurs leading a business with highly innovative products, services, or business models that enable significant growth and drive change within their sector or market.
    Examples include businesses providing healthcare services through innovative, community-based solutions or ventures in traditional sectors operating through an innovative business model.

  • AI-Driven Entrepreneurship Award

    In a maximum of 400 words, tell us about why you are Youth Business International’s AI-Driven Entrepreneur of the Year. Here is a question with some context to help you structure and think about your story:

    • How is your business leveraging AI in a meaningful way? i.e. AI solutions addressing real-world challenges in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, climate, and financial inclusion, or businesses leveraging data and AI to drive smarter, faster or more cost-effective decisions
  • Social and Green Entrepreneurship Award

    In a maximum of 400 words, please tell us about why you are Youth Business International’s Social and Green Entrepreneur of the Year. Here are some questions to help you structure and think about your story:

    • How is your business addressing social or environmental challenges? i.e. businesses whose primary product or service directly addresses social challenges such as access to healthcare, education, housing, or livelihoods, or ventures focused on environmental solutions as their core offering, including climate mitigation, climate adaptation, biodiversity protection, or ecosystem restoration
    • How is the social or environmental challenge that your business is addressing core to your business model?

    • How has the business and being an entrepreneur impacted your life and those around you, such as your family and community? Be honest about the good and bad.

  • If you are selected as a Bootcamp participant, the materials in this section may be used as part of communications about your participation. For example, on a 'meet the participants' web page.

    YBI may also want to share the story of your business and achievements, whether or not you are accepted into the Bootcamp, as one of the excellent young entrepreneurs currently supported by our members. We are always looking for opportunities to share examples of powerful youth entrepreneurship and promote inspiring youth-led businesses.

    Tips for submitting photos:

    • Photos should have a minimum resolution of 1600px
    • Preferably in landscape orientation, in JPEG or PNG format
    • Please make sure pictures are not blurry
    • Please make sure your face is clearly visible in the portrait picture
    • Please make sure that you and anyone else in the photos are smiling/looking happy – not sad, angry or miserable
