    About Resource Justice Network

Resource Justice Network (RJN) is the world’s largest network of civil society organisations campaigning for open and accountable oil, gas and mining sectors. With more than 1000 member organisations in over 50 countries, our strength lies in our ability to coordinate action nationally and globally, maximising our collective voice to push for policy and behaviour change in governments and businesses.

Our global strategy, Vision 2025, sets out our people-centred agenda for the extractive sector. Vision 2025 builds on our success in securing unprecedented levels of transparency from the extractive industries while placing more emphasis on making sure that transparency leads to broader changes that improve the lives of citizens in resource rich countries. It prioritises greater citizen participation in the governance of oil, gas and mineral extraction so that people can exercise their right to take part in decisions that affect them and can hold the powerful to account. It also aims to connect to international efforts to curb poverty and promote sustainable development, redress inequality and prevent climate disaster.

We are a growing, fun and dynamic team spread across ten countries and we work with some of the most courageous anti-corruption and human rights activists in the world. We offer an amazing working environment with a focus on personal development.

    Salary and Benefits

Salary: Adjusted for location. RJN takes a rigorous approach to salary setting and operates a remuneration scale based on global equity. RJN’s goal is that staff carrying out similar roles should have broadly equivalent standards of living and, since the cost of accommodation, goods and services can vary significantly in different countries, it is important to adjust for this when determining salaries.

Health & Pension Benefits: RJN operates a contributory pension scheme into which you will be auto-enrolled after three months’ of continuous service (subject to the conditions of the scheme). In addition to any contributions you make, RJN will make contributions of 8%.

RJN also provides three types of health benefits: (i) Life Assurance, providing you with cover in the event of death in service; (ii) Long Term disability cover, providing earnings protection in the event of serious injury leaving you unable to work; and (iii) a health cash plan, which offers contributions to certain types of health treatment.

Where RJN is unable to provide these benefits in kind for any reason, it will provide 15% of the value of the employees gross salary in lieu, in order to ensure they are compensated at the same level as employees receiving those benefits in kind.

Annual Leave: RJN provides all employees with 40 days leave, inclusive of public holidays, regardless of location.
