Position Summary
The Maintenance / Cleaning Attendant is responsible for keeping Wicked Cantina clean, sanitary, and presentable inside and out. This role performs daily, deep, and post-service cleaning across the dining room, bar, kitchen,
restrooms, patio, and exterior areas of the restaurant. The Cleaning Attendant works primarily during off-hours to prepare the restaurant for the next day of service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Dining Room, Bar & Patio Cleaning
1. Sweep, mop, and scrub all floors throughout the dining room, bar, entry, host stand, patio, and service areas.
2. Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, booths, high chairs, booster seats, and bar tops.
3. Polish hostess stands, bar fronts, woodwork, fixtures, and decorative surfaces.
4. Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and display surfaces inside and out.
5. Dust ledges, ceiling fans, light fixtures, vents, picture frames, shelves, and decorative items.
Restroom & Kitchen Cleaning
1. Deep clean and sanitize all restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, stalls, walls, doors, and floors.
2. Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, and air fresheners.
3. Sweep, scrub, and degrease kitchen floors, including under and behind equipment.
4. Clean kitchen drains, mats, walls, baseboards, and splash guards.
5. Detail-clean bar speed rails, drains, soda gun holsters, beer line exteriors, and floor mats.
Trash, Exterior, Supplies & Safety
1. Empty all interior trash and recycling receptacles; replace liners; sanitize cans as needed.
2. Take trash, recycling, cardboard, and grease to the dumpster per company and local regulations.
3. Sweep and pressure-wash sidewalks, patio, entryways, and dumpster area on the scheduled rotation.
4. Maintain a clean, organized cleaning closet and chemical storage area.
5. Identify and immediately report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or pest activity to the Manager on Duty.
6. Follow all OSHA, chemical-handling, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements; wear proper PPE at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or restaurant cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Florida Food Handler Certificate required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to safely use commercial cleaning chemicals and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and pride in a clean and welcoming environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work very early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual English / Spanish a plus.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach overhead continuously for shifts of up to 8–10 hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing stairs, and repetitive hand motion.
• Ability to safely climb step ladders to clean fixtures, vents, and high surfaces.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, wet, and outdoor environments.
• Manual dexterity to handle cleaning tools, sprayers, scrubbers, and chemicals safely.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, food debris, grease, slippery floors, and trash odors.
