Call for Award Nomination: Lifetime Achievement and NAR Service Awards
The Union-North America Region is calling for nominations for its annual awards recognizing the valuable contributions of our colleagues in TB care and prevention.
- The Lifetime Achievement Award of the Union-NAR is the highest award given by the region. This award recognizes and celebrates individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of TB over an entire career. The contribution may have been in any aspect of TB, including basic science, epidemiology, public health, advocacy, patient care, education, nursing, and laboratory science. Nominees may be working in any position, organization, or profession.
- The Lifetime Service Award is given annually to individuals in recognition of a significant contribution or ongoing service in support of TB programs and organizations dedicated to TB prevention and care. Recipients may include administrators, educators, public health advisors, or others providing outstanding service to the TB community.

The Process:
Nominations for NAR Service and Lifetime Achievement Awards will be solicited 4-6 months before the NAR Annual Conference. All nominations will be reviewed by the NAR Nominating Committee with recommendations made to the NAR Executive Committee for finalization.
Any Union-NAR Member in good standing is welcome to nominate candidates for this award. However, members of the Award Review Committee and individuals or organizations cannot nominate themselves.
The nominee need not be a Union-NAR member but must be based in or have made their contributions within the NAR region (United States, Canada, or the English, French, or Dutch speaking regions of the Caribbean and the Americas).
Nominations will be accepted until October 1, 2026.
