### Regardless, come join the Neuro SIS crew on Tuesday 7/21/26 at 6PM. This month Adam Sakievich is going to lead off a discussion about interventions of neuro patients in the ICU setting. We'll discuss the evidence for why we should, when we shouldn't, and how to win hearts and changs minds among the reluctant friends we meet along the way. Early OT interventions in a Neuro ICU setting are part of an established best practice in the literature. However, many barriers continue to exist that prevent OT early mobilization and intervention with this population. We will examine the evidence and arguments for early OT interventions, discuss common barriers, identify actual contraindications, and discuss appropriate advocacy and culture change OT's can participate in within this seting.
