  • Thank you for your interest in becoming a Summer of Resilience campaign partner! We're excited to be in community with you. Please complete this form and a member of our organizing team will get back in touch with you. All partnerships and offerings will have to be pre-approved.

We are seeking campaign partners (non-profits, grassroots organizations and community leaders) who are aligned with our vision to strengthen and support hyper-local networks of neighborhoods and community spaces for disaster resilience and climate survival. We're deploying both online and offline strategies for training, mobilizing, and connecting BIPOC and marginalized neighbors across the U.S, and need your support to make it possible! Through this collective action campaign, we are uplifting the skills, resilience strategies, and networks that frontline communities are leaning on in this political moment so that our movements can lead more efficient block-by-block disaster and crisis responses.

What does it mean to be a campaign partner?

    • Endorse and amplify - Share campaign-related trainings, events, and local activations via organizational/network channels
    • Make an offering - Work with our organizing team to co-host virtual or in-person skill-shares, workshops, or other disaster/crisis resilience activities. In anticipation of Super El Nino and other community threats this summer, we are prioritizing the following focuses:
      • Disaster Response/Emergency Preparedness and Planning - To prepare frontline communities for the impacts of Super El Nino and other extreme weather events, and equip them with organizing and technical skills for moving through crisis. Examples include:
        • Asset/Community Mapping
        • Climate Defense and Alternative Infrastructures (ie: disaster radio communications, water filtration and catchment, off-grid solar, etc.)
        • Volunteer Work Parties
      • Neighborhood Organizing and Power Building - To strengthen and support hyper-local leadership development, build relationships, and long-term organizing strategies beyond the crisis. Examples include:
        • Grassroots Organizing 101
        • Digital Security Practices and Culture
        • Power Research and Target Development
      • Climate-Resilient Food and Land Stewardship - To prepare for the continued disruption of food systems,  and strengthen hyper-local networks of food growers, distributors, and stewards. Examples include:
        • Food and land-based skills, like soil remediation, cultivating heat-resilient crops, etc.
        • Small-scale food production and distribution
      • Solidarity Economics - To strengthen alternative economic strategies and projects that meets frontline communities needs before, during, and after disaster/crisis.
    • Make a commitment to take action on your neighborhood block: Our resiliency work needs to be place-based: let's not organize in communities that we don't live in. Get to know your block. Meet the people where they're at. Work with your immediate neighbors to learn more about how you can support one another, form disaster and crisis plans, and build the survival infrastructure we need today for a better tomorrow.
