CLEAN ENERGY TECHNICIAN
Delivery Method: (Virtual & In-Person)
100% Tuition Subsidy

(Fall/Winter 2026) online/in-person 40-hour training program focused on battery-based solar PV systems and microgrids for the Molokai Community. The training will be delivered live via Zoom over 8 weeks, with two 2.5-hour sessions per week.

The curriculum combines selected content ranging from:
- Electrical fundamentals for battery-based PV systems
- Solar PV operation and performance
- Load analysis and energy planning
- Battery technologies, characteristics, and sizing
- Inverter selection and system integration
- Wiring, grounding, protection, and balance-of-system components
- Safety procedures, codes, and microgrid applications
Key features of the training includes case study and installation walkthrough based on the Molokai Community's actual microgrid equipment and technical documentation.

The training is designed to provide participants with the skills needed to understand, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot their solar-plus-storage microgrid system safely and effectively.

3) Have access to reliable ground transportation to attend the in-person sessions
