Skills Canada Nunavut wants everyone to have an enjoyable experience with maximum attention payed to safety and inclusion. All individuals representing Skills Canada Nunavut shall conduct themselves in a manner that best represents this organization. As such, Skills Canada Nunavut has established Rules, Conditions and a Code of Conduct policy that shall be aheared to by all competitors.

1. Volunteers must conduct themselves in a professional manner with participants, instructors, chaperone’s, committee members, judges, volunteers, Skills Canada Nunavut partners/sponsors and the public.

2. Volunteers will perform their duties without bias or prejudice.

3. Volunteers will not knowingly create an advantage for participants.

4. Volunteers shall not participate in any form of harassment or sexual harassment.

5. Volunteers shall not consume of alcohol or Marijuana during SCN events.

6. Volunteers shall not use or bring any illegal substances during SCN events.

7. Volunteers shall act with honesty, integrity, and openness in all their dealings as representatives of SCN.

8. Volunteers shall not act in any way that knowingly endangers the physical, mental, or emotional health of any participants or delegates. Fair and unbiased evaluation of projects is not considered an endangerment to the physical, mental, or emotional health of a competitor regardless of how they may respond to the evaluation.

I acknowledge that if I am in violation of the rules, conditions or the code of conduct, I may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including disqualification as volunteer and being banned from all future Skills Canada Nunavut programs.

I hereby agree to release Skills Canada Nunavut, its representatives, agents, staff, and employees from any liability for injury to the named participant, resulting from any cause whatsoever while attending any Skills Canada Nunavut activities, including travel to and from these activities.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own health and well-being, including managing any allergies (food or otherwise) or medical conditions that may affect my ability to participate. I release Skills Canada Nunavut, its representatives, agents, staff, and employees from any liability related to medical conditions, including medications, allergies, or disabilities, that may impact my participation or result in illness or injury during Skills Canada Nunavut activities, including travel to and from these activities.

I hereby acknowledge that I am medically fit and have no conditions that would interfere with my attendance at the Skills Competition. I acknowledge my responsibility to disclose any medical conditions that could compromise my safety or the safety of others while participating in Skills Canada Nunavut activities.

I voluntarily authorize Skills Canada Nunavut to obtain emergency medical treatment and diagnostic procedures for the named participant as deemed necessary in reasonable medical judgment. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skills Canada Nunavut for any claims, demands, actions, or judgments arising from or related to medical procedures and/or treatment rendered in good faith and according to accepted medical standards.

I understand and agree that any information pertaining to my participation in Skills Canada Nunavut activities may be shared with other organizations, including but not limited to media, schools, community organizations, my local Member of Parliament, and/or my Member of the Legislative Assembly.

I agree that still photographs and video recordings taken of me during Skills Canada Nunavut activities become the property of Skills Canada Nunavut and may be used for promotional materials and publications. I/We also understand that Skills Canada Nunavut may communicate with me or my parent/guardian if I am under the age of majority.
