2026-2027 Youth Ensembles Financial Aid Application
Dear Financial Aid Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the Music Education programs of the Santa Rosa Symphony Association. Need-based financial aid is available each year depending on donated funds. Requests for financial aid are kept confidential.

The current Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensemble (SRSYE) guidelines reflect the State of California Department of Education's definition of financial need. Families whose incomes fall within the guidelines are encouraged to apply to the program. If your income exceeds the published guidelines but you have debts or special circumstances that should be considered, you may still apply for assistance.

PRIORITY DEADLINES

For SOW, DYO, AYO, SRSYO, YPCO, or Jazz: September 1, 2026

Note: SRSYO Tour Fee Financial Aid Application will be distributed separately after auditions are concluded.

Applications received after this will be reviewed based on the availability of financial aid funds.

Only one application is required per student for all programs they participate in that season.

Families who receive 100% Financial Aid are still required to pay a $50 administrative fee for each tuition covered.

To apply, please follow these instructions:
1. Complete the financial aid application.
2. Attach a signed copy of the family's 2025 federal income tax (1040) form. If you do not have a 2025 tax return, please upload a Word or PDF document explaining your situation (and note, a prior year tax return may be requested).
3. Attach a paystub.
4. Complete the online registration forms for the program/orchestra for which you are applying(if you have not already done so).

2026-2027 Financial Aid Eligibility Guidelines

(Based on the California Department of Education Guidelines located at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/rs/scales2627.asp)

Participants from households with annual incomes indicated by the following levels will generally be considered eligible for a reduction in SRSYE tuition. If your income exceeds the published guidelines, but you have debts or special circumstances that should be considered, or your income level is close to the published levels, you may still apply for assistance.

Income scale is subject to change based on updates to the Department of Education Guidlines.

INCOME SCALE I:
If family income falls within this scale, 65-75% tuition may be awarded to each SRSYE member in a family.

INCOME SCALE II:
If family income falls within this scale, 40-50% tuition may be awarded to each SRSYE member in a family.

If family income is $2,000 or more above scale II, and the statement shows significant extenuating circumstances, 15-25% tuition may be awarded to each SRSYE member in a family.

If family income is $2,000 or more below scale I, and the statement shows significant extenuating circumstances, 75-100% tuition may be awarded to each SRSYE member in a family.
