    Classic Boating Day / Week - Loxton September 21st - 23rd 2026

  • Registration Notes

    PLEASE NOTE:

    Registration to be completed by 14th September 2026 as we require accurate numbers to allow organisers to purchase items, food etc for planned activities. If registering after the 14th please contact the Event coordinator to see if you still can participate in some of the activities.

    Some participants in this event are likely to be members of both WBASA and RCBC. WBASA would prefer that those who hold joint memberships register their interest in attending through the WBASA Jotform process, if you don’t register through this WBASA online form you will not be included in further updates and other bookings for ancillary support activities like driver transport shuffles, BBQ's, Dinners etc. You will also not be covered by WBASA insurance where aplicatble. This WBASA event does have a registration fee to cover some activities planned and administration. Your cooperation in providing prompt and accurate registration details would be greatly appreciated.

  • Introduction

     Given the success of the previous year’s trip to the Glenelg River and Wentworth,  WBASA has decided to get away again in 2026 for a few days. The plan this time is to head to Loxton in the Riverland and explore it's surrounds.

  • Itinerary

    There are 2 x 1 day voyages planned for this CBD and 1 day into to explore Loxton, as usual all boating is weather dependent. 

    1. Downstream on Monday to explore the Katarapko Creek with a BBQ lunch.

    2. Tuesday, explore Loxton.

    3. Upstream on the Murray towards Rilli Reserve, then find a place for lunch.

  • Accommodation

    Loxton and its surrounds has many types of accommodation from Motels to Caravan Parks and Home Stays. You will need to arrange your own accommodation for the event. Best to first try the Caravan Park at Loxton or maybe stay on the River Murray Queen.

  • Boat Ramps and Mooring

    Excellent Ramp and Pontoon facilities at Loxton and for those staying on boats there are many locations to tie up overnight.

Please note some "Events" like dinners are at your own cost. More details on each event will be included in the information pack. (the Admin cost is fixed to $5 per entry, don't insert a number here.)

            Additional activities like "The Loxton Pioneer Village" and Loxton Hotel visits will be at attendees own cost

            WBASA insurances do not cover your boat or any damage it may cause.
            You are expected to have the appropriate insurance at the this WBASA event.

            Be mindful of new life jacket / PFD requirements now enforced by Marine Safety.

            A two way radio is very helpful at these events, the WBASA preferred is a UHF radio with channel 27 selected.
