This application is divided into two parts:

Part 1 — Company Profile: Information about the business, its structure, eligibility, and readiness to participate in the defence sector.

Part 2 — Project Details: Information about the specific activity or project for which the business is seeking Northern Ontario Defence Opportunities (NODO) funding.

Please complete all fields. Supporting documents must be included where indicated. Submission of this application does not guarantee approval. Applications are evaluated by an independent Steering Committee with representation from across Northern Ontario.

I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the program criteria as stated in the NODO Information Package. I certify that the information provided in this application is accurate and complete and I have authority to sign on behalf of the applicant organization. The Recipient will purchase and maintain adequate insurance coverage for their business and for all activities undertaken as part of the approved project. Adequate insurance coverage must be in place and maintained for the full duration of the project.

NODO funding covers up to 75% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $50,000 per business. This is a reimbursement model — costs must be incurred and paid only on or after January 16, 2026. Please list all anticipated project expenditures below. Note that operational costs including travel-related expenses or wages are not eligible for funding under this program.

All submitted costs must reflect fair market value and competitive pricing. For expenses exceeding $10,000, please provide 2-3 quotes where possible, or an appropriate justification for the expense.

Project expenditure lines should list planned costs before tax for each contractor or vendor.

The project must be completed within 6 months of approval, unless discussed & agreed upon with the Program Coordinator.

Please attach all required supporting documents with your submission. Incomplete applications may result in delays or rejection.

By submitting this application, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to the following:

•      Funding under the NODO Program is conditional and based on a reimbursement model. No funds are provided in advance. Reimbursement is issued only after eligible expenses have been incurred, paid, and verified through receipts and proof of payment.

•      The applicant must contribute a minimum of 25% of total eligible project costs. NODO funding covers up to 75% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $50,000 per business.

•      The applicant acknowledges that The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound (TBC) bears no responsibility for contractor services rendered under this agreement. The responsibility of TBC is limited to issuing the reimbursement.

•      HST and other taxes are not eligible expenses under this program.

•      TBC and representatives of FedNor reserve the right to audit eligible activities and the accounts and records of the applicant.

•      The applicant agrees to acknowledge the federal government's role in all project-related communications of the funded activity.

•      Confidential or competitively sensitive information will not be disclosed, as protected under the Access to Information Act.

•      The applicant agrees to comply with all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection.

•      False or misleading information in this application may result in removal from the program and recovery of any funds disbursed.

•      Costs incurred prior to January 16,2026 are not eligible for reimbursement under this program.

•      No costs within this project will be paid to family members or other related parties.

•      The applicant will execute the project within the required project completion timelines.
