• Little House Art Gallery: Home Community Art Show

  • Little House was created as a place for creativity, connection, and belonging. I believe everyone deserves spaces where they feel welcomed, valued, and free to be themselves. As we open our gallery walls for the first time, I invite artists of all ages to explore the many meanings of home.

Home can be more than a place where you live-it can be a person, a pet, a favorite tree, a place where you create, a favorite memory, or a community where you feel you belong. What helps you feel safe, connected, and most like yourself? Through your artwork, share the people, animals, places, or moments that make you feel at home.

This artist call closes August 1st. Artists will be notified by August 3rd if their work is accepted. I am excited to welcome artwork from our community!

Because of the size of the gallery, space is limited and I may not be able to include every submitted work. Each submission is deeply appreciated, and I value the care behind every piece!

For this show, artwork should be two-dimensional and no larger than 9”×12”.

  • This art show and opening reception are public events held in conjunction with the Hillsborough Arts Council's Last Friday celebration.

I will have a sensory friendly opening before Last Friday begins. The sensory friendly opening will take place from 5-6pm. The Last Friday event will be from 6-9 pm.

This show is open to all ages! However, because this exhibition will be held in a shared therapeutic space that welcomes children, families, and community members from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, I ask that artwork not include violent imagery, nudity, curse words, or hate speech. Thank you for helping create an environment that feels welcoming, accessible, and supportive for all who enter.

If you have questions about whether a piece is a good fit for the exhibition, please don't hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help!

Since this is a therapy space, the gallery will be open to the public during the exhibition opening. Other gallery viewing times can be made by appointment.
