  • 2027-2028 Student Governor Application

    Note: This position is for one year only. The Student Governor is not eligible for re-election.
  • For your application to be considered by the ACOFP Leadership Development Committee, the following items must be submitted by September 1:

    • Current CV
    • Bio: Please provide a brief (250 Words Maximum) professional biography that introduces & describes who you are as a physician and professional. This should include your current professional role, education and training, professional and leadership experience, involvement with ACOFP and other professional organizations, and areas of professional interest or expertise.The biography should be written in third person. 
    • Headshot
    • Two letters of support from either the dean of your college of osteopathic medicine, the family medicine department chair, your ACOFP student chapter faculty advisor or a faculty member/physician you have shadowed/rotated that can attest to your leadership capability.

    • Answer the following 2interview questions (up to 500 words for each essay) 

      • Tell us about your unique qualifications and why you are applying for the Student Governor position? 

      • How will you support ACOFP’s mission and vision should you be elected as Student Governor? How will you hold yourself accountable to commit the time and effort necessary to be successful in this role? 

      • Answer any 2 of the following interview questions (in a Video Recorded Response)

        • Explain how you encountered a problem either professionally or personally and how you proceeded to correct that problem?

        • Tell us about a conflict you were in and how you resolved it?
        • In what ways do you see the role of the Student Governor being important to the ACOFP?

        •  Share an experience you have had learning or working toward improving DEI efforts in your workplace or community.
