Hello and thank you for your interest in the Work Experience at the 2026 Youth Dance Festival. Here is a brief run-down of what you can expect and what we expect from you. YDF26 will occur across 3 days/nights - On October 27th, 28th & 29th. You will need to arrive each day at 8am and we should be able to let you leave around 11pm. Your clothing will need to be all black and your shoes must be sturdy & enclosed. It is preferred that you don't wear jewellery. The Green room will be our base of operations. It should be always occupied, but we cannot take responsibility for valuables left there. Phones can be in your pockets but must be silenced and not distract you from your duties. You will be working with school groups helping them achieve their best performance, by coordinating their backstage movements, assisting with stage and props setup, and completing tasks for Ausdance ACT staff, which may include photography, social media, shopping, and setting up media assets. There will also be opportunities to be close-up and observe the professional theatre crew as they program the lighting, sound and staging. We cannot at this time offer observation of light & sound operation during the performances, but please let us know if these areas are of special interest and we will try to facilitate something with the theatre. For more info, please contact Cerri at 0448 183 868 or email: cerridwynmurphy@gmail.com Note: On the production days at the theatre, you will be given a roster with times areas and roles to cover. You will communicate directly and inform your Backstage Manager Vanessa if you are going to be late and pass on the information to your parent/guardian if they need. Be aware that calls and texts may not be answered immediately. Vanessa's contact details will be provided to you upon confirmation of your participation to YDF26 and prior to the production week. Thank You! Ausdance ACT
