PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
All performers agree to:
Represent Polynesian culture with dignity and respect.
Arrive at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled performance.
Follow all stage manager instructions.
Wear culturally appropriate attire.
Respect fellow performers and festival guests.
Keep performances family-friendly.
Maintain professisinalism at all times.
Failure to follow festival policies may result in removal
from the performance schedule.
STAGE CONDUCT POLICY
Polynesian Days Utah is a celebration of the cultures, traditions,
and heritage of the Pacific Islands. All group emcees, performers,
and representatives are expected to respect and uphold this purpose.
The stage, performance areas, and festival grounds may not be used
to promote or endorse political viewopints, personal agendas, religious
messages, commercial solicitations, or other unrelated causes. All
announcements, presentations, and performances should remain
culturally appropriate, family-friendly, and consistent with the mission
and values of Polynesian Days Utah.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in the performance
being stopped, removal from the event schedule, or ineligibility to
participate in future Polynesian Days events.

PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE
I grant Polynesian Days Utah, its sponsors, partners,
media representatives, and authorized agents the
unrestricted right to photograph, video record,
livestream, and otherwise capture our performances,
rehearsals, interviews, likenesses, names, logos, and
voices for promotional, educational, historical, archival,
advertising, fundraising, and commercial purposes
in any media now known or later developed,
without compensation or further approval.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Liability Waiver
and Release of Claims contained in this application. I understand
that participation in Polynesian Days Utah is voluntary and that
our dance group assumes responsibility for the safety, supervision,
and well-being of its members. I further acknowledge that, to the
fullest extent permitted by law, Polynesian Days Utah, its officers,
directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and venuce
owners shall not be held liable for injuries, accidents, illness, loss,
theft, or damage to persons or property arising from or related to
our participation in the festival, except where liability cannot be
waived under applicable law.

LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE OF CLAIMS

In consideration of participating in Polynesian Days Utah 2026, the undersigned, on behalf of themselves and, where applicable, their organization and participating members, voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the festival, including transportation to and from the event, rehearsals, performances, use of equipment, weather conditions, interactions with attendees, and other event-related activities.
To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, the undersigned releases, waives, and forever discharges Polynesian Days Utah, Thanksgiving Point, event sponsors, vendors, volunteers, contractors, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the event, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of a Released Party, where such liability cannot be waived under applicable law.
The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from claims brought by members of the applicant's group or third parties arising from the group's acts or omissions during participation in the festival, to the extent permitted by law.
The undersigned certifies that all performers are physically able to participate and that appropriate supervision will be provided for all minors.

PERFORMER ADMISSION POLICY
I understand and acknowledge that each approved dance group will receive a maximum of forty (40) admission wristbands for use throughout the festival. Each wristband provides one (1) complimentary day of admission, with the remaining two (2) festival days provided at no cost by Polynesian Days, representing a total benefit with an approximate value of $600 per dance group.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding, partnership, and continued support. Your participation helps ensure the long-term financial sustainability of Polynesian Days Utah, allowing us to continue celebrating and preserving Polynesian culture for years to come.
Any additional performers, family members, friends, or support personnel beyond the allotted forty (40) wristbands will be required to purchase admission at the standard gate price. No discounts or complimentary admissions will be provided beyond the allotted wristbands.
I further acknowledge that all wristbands are non-transferable and remain the property of Polynesian Days Utah. Any wristband that is lost, stolen, removed, tampered with, damaged, or broken will be considered void and invalid. Replacement wristbands will not be issued free of charge. Individuals requiring replacement admission due to an invalid wristband must purchase a new wristband at the current admission price.

PERFORMER CHECK-IN POLICY
ORIENTATION
All performing groups are required to attend the Performer Orientation on August 15, 2026. The time and location will be announced at a later date. If the designated group leader is unable to attend, they may send a representative in their place. Please notify our administration team in advance by emailing admin.polynesiandays@gmail.com.
The orientation will include:
Basic performer training and event expectations
Distribution of the performer packet
Load-in instructions
Wristband distribution
Information on the designated performer check-in gate
Important:
Performers must not enter through the public guest entrance. All performers will be directed to the designated performer entrance.
GATE CHECK-IN
All performers must wear their official Performer Wristband to gain entry through the designated performer gate. For the safety and security of all attendees, all items are subject to inspection, including but not limited to:
Costumes
Bags
Instruments
Strollers
Personal belongings
Each dance group may bring one cooler containing ice only. No beverages or other food items are permitted in the cooler unless otherwise approved by event management.
PERFORMER WRISTBANDS
Polynesian Days is not responsible for broken, lost, stolen, or misplaced wristbands once the performer packet has been picked up and signed for during orientation. Once wristbands have been removed it is void or invalid.
Dance group leaders and coordinators are responsible for distributing wristbands to their performers.
Each performing group is allotted up to 40 complimentary performer wristbands. Any additional wristbands required beyond the allotted 40 must be purchased at the applicable event rate.
