KōCreate: Kohala is a place-based cohort initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of Kohala's grassroots ʻāina organizations to work collectively, access resources, and pursue long-term stewardship goals with greater independence and coordination. The initiative is rooted in KōCreate, Vibrant Hawaiʻi's proven community engagement and leadership development model — an iterative, multi-session cohort process that develops civic skills, relational infrastructure, and shared strategy through structured collaboration grounded in Hawaiian values and place-based identity.
