  • Audition Day

  • To help auditions run smoothly, please arrive early. Audition order numbers will be handed out based on arrival/check-in, so if you need earlier in the slot, arrive early.

    During check-in, participants will:

    • Check in with the registration team, confirm contact info, confirm rehearsal conflicts.
    • Take a casting photo with their audition number (received upon arrival).
    • Review their audition sheet music to ensure that any cuts, repeats, or starting and ending points are clearly marked for the accompanist.
    • Receive any final audition instructions before the audition begins.

Following check-in, performers will complete their scheduled vocal and acting auditions by audition number when called into the theatre. Auditions are designed to be relaxed, encouraging, and fun. We're looking for enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude just as much as talent!

    Your audition process:

    • Introduce yourself by name, and what role you're auditioning for.
    • Sing 16 Measures of the song you have prepared (come with your sheet music marked).
    • After you sing, you will confirm dancing/acrobatic abilities with the choreographer.
    • After you dance, you may be asked to read a short portion of the script (this is called "cold reading").
    • At the end of your audition, you will go to the Wardrobe Department for costume measurements.

Notifications of callbacks will be issued Saturday, August 22nd by 6pm. Details of the callbacks will be noted at that time, so please keep your Sunday free to ensure we can bring you back!
