We represent a collective of college-aspiring high school students recognized by the broader Hillsborough community as the astute and graceful young women of Precious Pearls, under the mentorship of the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Eligibility for membership in this esteemed program includes maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5, securing two letters of recommendation, and possessing a clear intention to pursue higher education. The deadline is July 31, 2026. Acceptance letters will be emailed by August 10, 2026.

How did you learn of the Precious Pearl program sponsored by the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.?
Meetings are held on the third Sundays of each month at 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm.
The dress code for professional events is a pink blazer, a white button-down blouse, a black knee length skirt, and black pumps. The attire for casual events is the signature pink Precious Pearls polo and blue jeans with no holes. Girls can wear white, pink, blue, or black sneakers.
Precious Pearls is a high school youth group dedicated to nurturing young women with robust character and excellent academic standing. Our objectives include community engagement, social skills development, and enjoyment. I am aware that my participation requires attendance at a minimum of one in person college tour with Precious Pearls and 70% of the 15 or more events organized each academic year.

Precious Pearls is the most exclusive youth group in the Greater Tampa Bay area boasting community service, college tours, and cultural enrichment activities. This group will require your attendance yet will offer countless leadership opportunities attending events such as the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner, the Miss Teenage Tampa Scholarship Pageant, and visits to Museums to name a few. The young ladies will be exposed to resume building, LinkedIn, and financial literacy. Why are you interested in joining Precious Pearls?
