Jerry R. DiGiovanni Endowment Fund SCDC Travel Scholarship Application

Jerry R. DiGiovanni Endowment Fund SCDC Travel Scholarships are need-based scholarships to be used to attend SCDC in February. Advisors may nominate up to 5 students using this form, but do not have to nominate 5 if they do not believe there is need. Students of all grade levels are eligible to be nominated. Winners and scholarship amounts will be announced privately via email by January 1st.
Selected students will have a credit applied for the scholarship amount to their SCDC registration. If the student does not attend SCDC, their scholarship is forfeited. Your chapter's total amount of scholarships will be deducted from your SCDC invoice total in the portal when invoices are finalized in January. It is the advisor's responsibility to ensure a student's scholarship amount is subtracted from their SCDC total at a chapter level.
Need-based is hard to quantify, so please use your best discretion in choosing students to nominate. Some examples of students who would be good candidates for a scholarship are those who qualify for free/reduced lunch, those going through a hardship, etc..
