Delegate Application Form

The Symposium will take place from November 3 to 5, 2026, at the Best Western Plus Nor’Wester Hotel & Conference Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

 

Hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Preparedness and Response, this 5th annual Symposium supports First Nations in preparing for spring floods and summer wildland fires while building knowledge, expertise, and community capacity.

The event will bring together First Nation representatives, Indigenous Emergency Management Service Providers, co-hosting partners, and others working across the Indigenous emergency management ecosystem. Through presentations, hands-on workshops, group discussions, and networking opportunities, delegates will exchange experiences, build relationships, and explore practical approaches to planning and coordination before, during, and after a crisis.

 • Delegates are asked not to publicly share or publish information about the Symposium before official event communications are released.

Please note: This form is an application to attend the event, not a confirmed registration. Due to limited spots, priority will be given to individuals working in the emergency management field.

Applications will be reviewed by the Ministry of Emergency Preparedness and Response, and you will receive a follow-up within 14 business days confirming whether your request has been approved or placed on the waitlist.
