  • Open Call for Japan–U.S. Technology (JUST) Policy Fellowship

    The Japan–U.S. Technology (JUST) Fellowship is a nine-month, non-resident program that brings together emerging and mid-career professionals from Japan and the United States to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the semiconductor sector. Through expert dialogues, collaborative research, and immersive study visits, fellows will examine the strategic, economic, and technological issues shaping the future of semiconductor and broadly technology collaboration between the two countries.The fellowship is designed for professionals from government, industry, academia, think tanks, and civil society who are committed to advancing Japan-U.S. cooperation in semiconductor policy, innovation, manufacturing, and supply chain resilience.
  • Eligibility and How to Apply

    As a JUST Fellow, you will:

    • Participate in monthly virtual discussions with leading policymakers, industry experts, and researchers.
    • Conduct independent research on a topic related to Japan-U.S. semiconductor cooperation.
    • Take part in in-person study visits to semiconductor hubs in Japan and the United States.
    • Present your research and policy recommendations to senior stakeholders.
    • Join a lifelong network of professionals dedicated to strengthening the U.S.-Japan partnership.
