  • Role Descriptions and Selection

  • Director of Logistics
    The Director of Logistics is one of the most intense roles, requiring percision and consistent participation. They are responsible for planning and coordinating the operational aspects of the organization's events and initiatives. This includes creating timelines, organizing materials and resources, managing event setup and cleanup, organizing fundraisers, and ensuring that projects run efficiently from start to finish. The Director of Logistics works closely with all departments to solve challenges, keep events on schedule and ensure everything is executed by the set deadline.

    Director of Finance
    The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the organization's budget, managing expenditures, and ensuring that all financial decisions align with the organization's goals and available resources. They develop and monitor budgets for events, initiatives, and day-to-day operations while maintaining accurate financial records and promoting transparency. This role works closely with the Director of Logistics to coordinate purchasing, inventory, and operational costs, as well as with the Director of School Clubs to allocate funding for club initiatives, events, and partnerships. Proficieny in using apps like CIBC, Google Sheets, and any other banking applications is strongly suggested. Ability to make responsible financial decisions and strong organizational skills are essential for this position.

    Director of Media
    The Director of Media is responsible for documenting the organization's activities through photography, videography, and digital content creation. They capture moments at events, edit photos and videos, and help create engaging visual content for social media, promotional campaigns, and the organization's website. They also maintain a consistent visual identity and work closely with the Director of Marketing to showcase the organization's impact. Proficiency in Canva, photoshop, and using professional cameras is strongly suggest. 

    Director of Marketing
    The Director of Marketing leads the promotion of the organization's events, initiatives, and mission. They develop creative marketing strategies, design promotional materials, manage social media campaigns, and help increase awareness and engagement within the school and community. Working alongside the Director of Media, they ensure all communications reflect the organization's brand and effectively reach the intended audience.

    Director of School Clubs
    The Director of School Clubs serves as the primary liaison between the organization and schools "The Good Guys" clubs. They build partnerships, recruit new members, coordinate collaborative initiatives, and represent the organization at school events and club fairs. Their role focuses on expanding the organization's reach by fostering strong relationships within schools and encouraging student involvement.

    Director of Sponsorships
    The Director of Sponsorships is responsible for securing partnerships and financial support from local businesses, organizations, and community leaders. They research potential sponsors, prepare sponsorship proposals, communicate professionally with prospective partners, and maintain positive relationships with current sponsors. They also ensure sponsors receive appropriate recognition while helping the organization obtain the resources needed to support its initiatives and events.
