Purpose
The Stateline Fury Athletic Scholarship Program is intended to assist coaches in attracting and retaining exceptional athletes who will have a positive impact on the Stateline Fury program. Athletic scholarships are awarded based solely on a player's athletic ability, work ethic, coachability, attitude, commitment, character, and overall value to the program. Financial need is not considered when awarding athletic scholarships.
If a request for assistance is based primarily on a family's financial circumstances, this form should not be submitted. Instead, the family must complete and submit the Stateline Sports Group Hardship Application, which is reviewed separately.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for an athletic scholarship, the following requirements must be met:
- The player must be offered and accept a roster position on a Stateline Fury team.
- If a player has already received any discounts the amount will be deducted for any additional request.
- The recommendation must be submitted by the player's head coach.
- The player and family must remain in good standing with Stateline Sports Group throughout the season.
- The family must participate in all required Stateline Sports Group program fundraisers unless specifically exempted by the Executive Director.
- The player is expected to attend practices, games, tournaments, and team activities unless excused by the coaching staff.
- The player must demonstrate good sportsmanship, a positive attitude, coachability, respect, and commitment to the team and program.
- The family must remain current on all remaining player fee obligations and approved payment arrangements.
- Athletic scholarships are awarded for one season only and do not automatically renew from year to year.
