  • We interview prospective candiates one time.  The photo helps us recall our scholarship recipients when we do our annual renewal reviews.  Please submit a current photo.

  • Please request the following from your teachers and counselor:

    • 2 letters of recommendations from someone who is familiar with your academic work. The letters must be sent directly to us from the author.

    • A transcript with class rank sent directly to us from your current school.

  • FAFSA SUBMISSION SUMMARY

  • When your 2027-28 FAFSA Submission Summary with your SAI is ready (you will receive an email from the Department of Education), please log in to FAFSA, download the Submission Summary, and send it to us at admin@lincolnlane.org. 

    If you have trouble downloading the Submission Summary from FAFSA, you may forward us the email that includes your SAI. 

    Please file with FAFSA early! 

  • Procedures following Application Submission

  • Students whose qualifications and needs meet our guidelines may be asked to come to our offices for an interview with members of our Board of Directors in January or February.

    No appointments will be scheduled until all required documents have been received and reviewed.  Interview invitations will be made via email.  Please add admin@lincolnlane.org and 757-622-2557 to your contacts so you do not miss your opportunity for a scholarship. 

    Applicants will be notified via email of the final decision of the Board of Directors in early April.
