Stablecoin-linked Agentic Commerce and Payments (Industry Roundtable Series)

As AI systems evolve from assistive tools into autonomous agents capable of executing end-to-end commerce workflows, the payments industry is entering a new frontier. Existing payment infrastructure - including cards, wallets and banking rails - has largely been designed around human-initiated transactions, raising important questions around trust, consent, compliance, and accountability when AI agents begin participating in payment flows.

To foster early industry dialogue and coordination, the SFA Payments Subcommittee, with support from StraitsX and participation from ecosystem partners including Visa, is pleased to invite you to the Agentic Payments Industry Roundtable Series.

This roundtable series is intended to be an interactive discussion among industry practitioners and subject matter experts and seeks to bring together stakeholders across payments, banking, wallets, AI platforms, and commerce to:

Establish a shared understanding of what "agentic payments" mean in a regulated environment;
Explore how AI agents can safely interact with existing payment infrastructure;
Identify infrastructure, trust and governance gaps;
Discuss foundational design principles for secure and compliant adoption; and
Contribute to the development of an industry white paper for Singapore.
