• 2026/2027 Flat-Out Events & Point 2 Running Company Ambassador Team Application

    Flat-Out Events and Point 2 Running Company are excited to continue our partnership for our Annual Ambassador Team! Continuing with the 2026/2027 race season, we are looking for an energetic, passionate, and engaging team of runners and walkers to represent our brands as Ambassadors starting in early August and concluding on June 30, 2027. These Ambassadors will enjoy a host of fun perks as we combine our resources as a race management company and local running store to offer the best of both worlds! In return, we are looking for a team that will enjoy promoting and growing our brands within the Hampton Roads Community.We will choose the most qualified applicants to represent our two brands based on a number of factors. If you are a passionate runner or walker who enjoys influencing people in a positive way, we welcome you to apply no matter where you are in your running journey!  Think you've got what it takes? Interested candidates must apply by July 22nd. Selected Ambassadors will be notified no later than July 31st. The kick-off party will be on Sunday, August 9th, at 2:00 PM.

  • Qualifications:

    - Be passionate about promoting a healthy and active lifestyle
    - Energetic and influential supporters of Flat-Out Events and Point 2 Running Company-Run/walk Flat-Out races and shop with Point 2 as your go-to running store
    - Maintain an active, positive influence on social media
    - Willing to volunteer time at events, group runs, expos, etc.

  • Responsibilities:

    - Volunteer a minimum of 30 hours at Flat-Out Events races, expo booths, packet pick-ups, group runs, or Point 2 events
    - Wear official ambassador t-shirt when participating in races in Hampton Roads
    - Participate in at least one (1) Flat-Out Events or Point 2 group run per month
    - Include Point 2 Running Company or Flat-Out Events on social media platform(s) at least once per week with the goal to encourage conversation and brand awareness. You can use our races, special events, group run, training teams, volunteering etc. as topics of conversation on your platforms
    - Assist in placing grassroots marketing materials across Hampton Roads when needed
    - Assist Point 2 in growing their customer base through social media efforts and participating in store events, activities, and group runs
    - Able to attend Ambassador kick-off party on Sunday, August 9th

  • Flat-Out Events and Point 2 Running Company will provide:

    - The opportunity for free entry to four Flat-Out Events owned races throughout the year: Glowing Gobbler, Christmas Town Dash 8K, Chills in the Mill, and Chick-fil-A 10K/5K
    - Entry-level pricing for the Noland Trail 50K & Relay and Newport News One City Marathon (additional races may be included throughout year)
    - Friends/family discount codes to provide for all Flat-Out Events races provided 2 weeks before each race (as long as the race isn't sold out)
    -20% off all full-priced items at Point 2 (10% off Garmin products), 30% off Point 2 branded gear (All discounts are limited to Ambassadors only)
    - Receive exclusive Friends and Family discount cards to Point 2 twice per season
    - Complimentary Ambassador gear bundle to wear at races and volunteer events

  • Our most needed volunteer times are Monday and Wednesday evenings for group runs and Friday for packet pickups. What is your availability for those times?
