About Steppin For Strength
Steppin For Strength is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, promoting prevention, and providing support to individuals and families affected by suicide throughout Acadiana. Our mission is to create a compassionate and understanding environment where people feel supported, connected, and encouraged during life’s most difficult moments. Through outreach, awareness events, memorial walks, scholarships, community partnerships, and open conversations, we strive to break the stigma surrounding suicide and encourage hope, healing, and support for those who have experienced loss or hardship. We believe that no person should ever feel alone, and that communities grow stronger when they come together to uplift one another with compassion and understanding.
