Equipment

There is required equipment you need to deliver this course. Please complete the below for us to see if your venue can host this course:

Required equipment

Floor area 12m x 12m (suitable for 14 people - sprung artistic-type floor, sports hall or school hall)
Floor mats (min of 8 essential if floor area is sports hall or school hall)
Either: Foam coaching blocks (min 1> 1m high) OR Matting to create a 1m high mat stack
Vaulting table or equivalent (essential if only mat stack option ticked)
Springboards (min 1,full size required, not junior)
Slope, wedge or incline (can be created via an equipment set-up)
Bench, Floor or low beams. Junior or High beam. (2 min preferably of different varieties)
Safety matting preferably of different densities (additional to those required for the mat stack, min 2)
Bars (minimum of single bar or A-bars; no junior bars)
Platforms of varying heights (this could be the vaulting equipment, and bench; min. 2)
Trampette (not a mini bouncer; min. 1)
Trampoline (min 1) with minimum 5m hall height. Provide details eg size, raised or level to ground, pit exit or end decks, requires set up/set down.
Spotting/push in mats (min 1)

The minimum number of learners required to request a Delivering Gymnastics Activities course is 8.
We have a minimum of 8 learners required to run the course
All learners meet the requirements of the course (have a PVG through Scottish Gymnastics and have completed Foundations of Gymnastics Coaching)

Gymnasts

10 to 16 gymnast and a chaperone are required on day 2 and 3 at 9.30am to 2.30pm. The chaperone needs to be a current member, have a PVG disclosure and safeguarding training. This should be someone who already has a relationship with the gymnasts.
We will provide gymnasts and a chaperone at the times required
Tutor
